Requirements
- āMinimum of 5 years relevant experience in regulatory, law enforcement, e-money, payment services, crypto, consultancy or retail banking environments
- āExperience at Senior Manager, Deputy MLRO or Head of Compliance/MLRO level or readiness to step into Head of Compliance and MLRO role
- āCompliance generalist experience across policy and procedure development, risk assessment, assurance, advisory and oversight
- āPractical experience designing and implementing regulatory and financial crime compliance programmes including onboarding, CDD, transaction monitoring and screening
- āAbility to challenge business units and advise on solutions with strong attention to detail
- āStrong relationship building and influencing skills
- āFluency in English written and verbal
Responsibilities
- āDevelop and maintain the compliance framework in accordance with FCA requirements
- āAct as the primary point of contact with the FCA and other regulators
- āEnsure timely and accurate regulatory reporting
- āProvide regulatory advice to senior management and the Board
- āConstruct, review, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
- āPerform horizon scanning and communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders
- āOversee agent and distributor relationships and controls
- āMaintain oversight of enterprise risk registers, incident reporting, and operational resilience
- āConduct compliance reviews, monitoring, and surveillance
- āManage the SAR process and suspicious activity reporting
- āManage breach escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation
- āImplement risk-based monitoring and control testing for KYC, transaction monitoring, screening, and complaints
- āProvide KYB and client due diligence advisory and escalation support
- āAssist in developing and delivering compliance training
- āSupport compliance operations including regulatory reporting, conflicts management, and quality assurance
