Requirements
- āJuris Doctor (JD)
- ā5ā7+ years of experience in sanctions/OFAC compliance, AML, or financial crimes
- āWorking knowledge of privacy laws and regulatory frameworks including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA
- āStrong understanding of blockchain technology, crypto, and digital asset markets
- āProven judgment and disposition decision-making experience
- āExperience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders
- āAbility to operate autonomously in a lean, fast-paced environment
- āEnthusiasm for AI tools and process innovation
Responsibilities
- āOwn and evolve OFAC sanctions and counter-illicit finance compliance program
- āManage wallet screening, alert management, and enforcement of controls
- āInterpret and advise on changes to sanctions regimes
- āInvestigate and adjudicate edge cases and make disposition decisions
- āExecute annual and country risk assessments
- āPrepare and deliver quarterly compliance reporting to senior leadership
- āLead GDPR and other privacy and data regulatory compliance (including CCPA/CPRA)
- āConduct privacy risk analysis for new features and integrations
- āSupport contract negotiation as capacity allows
- āTrack legislative and regulatory developments and flag business implications
- āProvide input on regulatory submissions and filings
- āAssess legal and regulatory risk holistically
