Requirements
- āDegree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- āActive or inactive CPA required
- ā12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- ā5+ years in a senior leadership role
- āProven experience leading large, diverse accounting teams
- āExperience in operational and general ledger accounting
- āHands-on experience owning and optimizing a tier 1 ERP such as Oracle Fusion
- āExperience leading cross-functional process transformation and standardization
- āDeep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including broker/dealer transactions, crypto accounting, and consolidation
- āExperience with FINRA, SEC, and broker/dealer reporting requirements
- āExpertise in multi-entity consolidations and high-volume reconciliations
- āPrior experience in regulated financial services or fintech strongly preferred
- āExperience or passion for the cryptocurrency industry highly valued
- āStrong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
- āAbility to convey complex financial topics to technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- āLead, mentor, and grow the Americas accounting team
- āOversee accounting operations including transaction recording, reconciliations, and close processes
- āManage and optimize partnerships with managed services providers
- āLeverage Oracle Fusion ERP to streamline workflows and drive automation
- āTranslate accounting requirements into systems requirements and lead integration
- āLead process redesign and standardization across Americas accounting functions
- āEnsure timely and accurate accounting for broker/dealer and trading activity in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
- āDefine and implement best-in-class accounting processes and systems for scale and regulatory readiness
- āPartner with FP&A, Tax, Product, Legal, and Finance Systems to align accounting with business initiatives
- āContinuously improve month-end and year-end close cycles balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance
- āMaintain robust internal controls and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory stakeholders
