Job Description

You'll work as a freelance FP&A and operational finance expert supporting the development and evaluation of an advanced AI system. In this remote, flexible, short-term engagement, you'll apply your professional finance expertise to help make AI more accurate and reliable on complex finance topics. You will create technical, domain-specific prompts, review AI-generated responses end to end, and provide expert feedback that shapes what a correct and well-reasoned financial answer looks like.

Requirements

  • ā—8+ years of professional experience in FP&A or operational finance & assurance (financial planning & analysis, budgeting/forecasting, controllership, or audit/assurance)
  • ā—Deep, demonstrable specialization in the above
  • ā—Strong written English and the ability to explain complex reasoning clearly
  • ā—Excellent attention to detail and sound analytical judgment
  • ā—Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • ā—Based in the United States
  • ā—Availability for approximately 4 hours per day, ~5 days per week including weekends, for a short-term engagement
  • ā—Prior experience reviewing, evaluating, or quality-checking content, data, or AI/model outputs (preferred)
  • ā—Familiarity with AI or machine learning projects (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • ā—Create and refine technical domain-specific prompts that probe and stress-test the AI's capabilities in FP&A and operational finance
  • ā—Evaluate AI-generated responses end to end including the final output the underlying reasoning and the intermediate steps for accuracy completeness and quality
  • ā—Research and verify figures methods and claims against authoritative sources
  • ā—Identify errors gaps edge cases and inconsistencies in AI outputs and clearly explain what is wrong and why
  • ā—Apply detailed project guidelines consistently and flag ambiguity or areas where guidance could improve
  • ā—Provide expert written feedback that improves how AI systems reason about finance
  • ā—Maintain a high standard of accuracy and consistency across all assigned work
